Five Things.

Hello and Happy Friday!

This week just flew by faster than any other it seemed. I also have been reminded that when one door closes another one opens. Well it did not open yet, or I did not see the other door so far but the key is to stay positive and rather search for solutions than being disappointed. Do you believe that if something is not happening and you really would have loved it to happen, it is simply not supposed to happen for you? Or maybe then I did not really really wanted it to happen? Oh man, this life always throws you curveballs and makes it interesting, right? It never gets boring. This is what I have been up to during the week. Read on if you would like.

Reading: Currently I read Der Verlorenen Mann by Heidi Fischer and I love it – almost done! Actually, I attended the reading at Riemann Bookstore yesterday and met this amazing woman in person.  Elisabeth Wagner is looking for her husband who apparently got lost in the mountains of Nepal. She stays at a buddhist temple where her husband used to stop by during his tour and finds letters and notes he wrote. She learns things about him and even more about herself. Amazing book! There is a lot of hype about Fashion- and Lifestyle Blogger Garance Doré lately. In every fashion magazine is a little excerpt of her latest book Love, Style, Life. Honestly, I am not too much into fashion. I am not the one spending hours at a fashion store to find the latest trends. However, Garance is French, lives in New York and I do love everything French and New York. So I purchased the book and did not regret it.  Her approach about fashion is very fresh and appealing and the book is well illustrated with tons of pictures.

Watching: I do enjoy VIMEO videos and share quite a lot. Most of them are really well done and a piece of art. What do you think about this one? Maybe this is the way it is after we die? I guess we will find out at some point hopefully very far in the distance if we have been to the mountain.

Discovering/Learning: There is a holiday or special day for so many things, right? Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, SantaCon [People dress up in Santa costumes all throughout the United States and get wasted! Usually, on my day to work I saw at least one or two Santas drenched in puke with a bottle of beer next to them. Weird!] and whatnot. Recently I found out about the International Pillow Fight Day. Yep, but since I found out about BRONYCON while I listened to Howard Stern, nothing surprises me anymore. Have you heard of Blue Tea yet? Tastes good and is also beautiful to look at due to its vibrant colors!

“Heart-Tee Blue Tee is made from 100% pure butterfly pea flowers. A mild tasting tea with intense blue color. The flowers are a very high source of anthocyanin antioxidants.

Butterfly pea flower tea is used for the traditional Thai welcome iced tea drink – just add a teaspoon of honey and squeeze of lemon to your tea and serve over ice. It has an amazing vivid blue color which changes to purple when the lemon is added.”

Loving: Music! These days I listen over and over to Charles Bradley  Album “Victim of Love”, Radiohead Album The King of Limbs and Bob Dylan’s Blood on the Tracks on Spotify.

Looking forward to: Visiting my sister and her family. I haven’t seen her since December which seems so long ago. Family is the most important thing. I want to spend as much time with them as possible and turn off the computer now. I might take a day off writing tomorrow. Big BBQ with family and friends that has priority tomorrow. Let’s see if I find the other door that is supposed to open. 🙂

What have you been up to? I would love to hear from you. Have a great weekend.
