Who Am I?

Hello and Happy Tuesday!

Many friends in my life are taking tests and exams these days. I hope it went well for all of you and Good Luck! This made me think about one of the best courses I attended in College. It was a Psychology class on a Saturday morning (!) – Abnormal Psychology. Well, well, well. While my husband was able to sleep in, I sat in school at 9 am but it was so awesome and I enjoyed it. I always said that if I ever go back to school I would love to study Psychology or English. These are the two subjects that interest me the most until this day. Now, are you up for something distracting and funny?

In my Psychology class we had to take and work on many tests. Have you ever heard of the Myers-Briggs personality test? I took this test several times and it is amazing how spot on the result is. I am a INFJ-personality (Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging) My husband applauds at this point, because of the “feeling” and “judging”! Once you took the test, you can read a full description on your result as well as how your personality works best for your career and business.

Here are some key-point of my result:

  • “INFJs are deeply concerned about their relations with individuals as well as the state of humanity at large. They are, in fact, sometimes mistaken for extroverts because they appear so outgoing and are so genuinely interested in people — a product of the Feeling function they most readily show to the world. On the contrary, INFJs are true introverts, who can only be emotionally intimate and fulfilled with a chosen few from among their long-term friends, family, or obvious “soul mates.”
  • This one is for you my love: “While instinctively courting the personal and organizational demands continually made upon them by others, at intervals INFJs will suddenly withdraw into themselves, sometimes shutting out even their intimates. This apparent paradox is a necessary escape valve for them, providing both time to rebuild their depleted resources and a filter to prevent the emotional overload to which they are so susceptible as inherent “givers.” As a pattern of behavior, it is perhaps the most confusing aspect of the enigmatic INFJ character to outsiders, and hence the most often misunderstood — particularly by those who have little experience with this rare type.”
  • “Usually self-expression comes more easily to INFJs on paper, as they tend to have strong writing skills. Since in addition they often possess a strong personal charisma, INFJs are generally well-suited to the “inspirational” professions such as teaching (especially in higher education). Psychology and counseling are other obvious choices, but overall, INFJs can be exceptionally difficult to pigeonhole by their career paths.”

Take the test here. It is really amazing. I have found another one here and have taken it. The outcome: INFJ.

Read this funny article about the test. It made me laugh out loud! Also this about what each Myers-Briggs Type does at a party. Enjoy!

What is your personality type? Is it true for you? I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for reading my blog.
