It started with a haircut\/head massage at my favorite <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.naturfriseur-nicole-reiter.de\" target=\"_blank\">hairdresser of all times, Nicole Reiter.<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/em>I recommend this place highly. Do check it out if you get a chance. At least once. It is so not your typical hairdresser &#8211; but so much more special and\u00a0in my opinion, better than the regular ones. I wrote an article about the place <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sometimesraw.com--precise\/?p=1414\" target=\"_blank\">here.<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">\u00a0After, I had an appointment for an interview with the <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.np-coburg.de\" target=\"_blank\">German Newspaper Neue Presse Coburg.\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\">They do want to write about my life, my story, my work at the United Nations, the blog and future projects. Pretty neat, right? The interview went really well an the article should be in the newspaper on Tuesday next week. Am I excited? Yep! Here is what I have been up to otherwise.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reading:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A lot these days. I just finished this amazing book by <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Deutschland-im-Blaulicht\/dp\/3492060242\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452292026&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=tania+kambouri\" target=\"_blank\">Tania Kambouri &#8220;Deutschland im Blaulicht&#8221;<\/a>.<\/span><\/strong><\/em> Police Officer Kambouri gives insight of her job, the troubles she faces on a daily basis while patrolling Bochum\/Germany, the problem of male immigrants and more. I also started<em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"> <a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Friedrich-R\u00fcckert-Lebensbild-Einf\u00fchrung-German-ebook\/dp\/B015WR6FLI\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452292343&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=annemarie+schimmel+ruckert\" target=\"_blank\">Annemarie Schimmel&#8217;s book &#8220;Friedrich R\u00fcckert.<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/em>I love R\u00fcckert&#8217;s poems. This is an amazing book too: <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Seeds-Planted-Concrete-Bianca-Sparacino-ebook\/dp\/B018T5P912\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452292746&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=bianca+sparacino\" target=\"_blank\">Poetry by Bianca Sparacino.<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/em>I really enjoyed it. I just started <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Treibsand\/dp\/3552057366\/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452292842&amp;sr=8-1-fkmr0&amp;keywords=treibsand+mankell\" target=\"_blank\">Henning Mankell&#8217;s Treibsand<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/em>and so far it is sad but well written. Typical for Henning Mankell.<em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"> <a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/opinionator.blogs.nytimes.com\/2016\/01\/06\/my-marriage-didnt-end-when-i-became-a-widow\/?_r=0\" target=\"_blank\">This article<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> is really sad but eye-opening. A crime novel I would like to recommend is Tess Gerritsen&#8217;s, <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Roter-Engel-German-Tess-Gerritsen-ebook\/dp\/B00SMSKTFI\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452334070&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=Roter+Engel+gerritsen\" target=\"_blank\">Roter Engel<\/a> <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Life-Support-Tess-Gerritsen\/dp\/0671553046\/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1452334030&amp;sr=8-1-spell&amp;keywords=tess+geritssen+life+support\" target=\"_blank\">(Life Support)<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0. A page-turner to the end. I literally could not put this book down. Book reviews on all mentioned books will be soon on my blog.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Challenging:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Stop drinking alcohol for one week. Not even my glass of wine at night when I work and research. Well, I have to say that I do miss it a bit indeed. Anyway, I will be going through with this now. So far, my sleep improved already. I slept like a baby last night. This is already a big plus.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Watching:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">I watched a couple of interviews for research purposes of my book review on <em>Deutschland im Blaublich.<\/em>\u00a0It is in German and gives great on German police work. Here is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.leselust-bayreuth.de\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\">link to the website.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0Many great authors will take part with tons of readings, lectures etc. A must for all book-lovers! Have you heard about <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bookcrossing.com\/about\" target=\"_blank\">BookCrossing<\/a>?<\/span><\/strong><\/em> It is like a huge library world-wide or more a social network site about books. You connect to the website, and get a number. Then you print out the labels with your number and stick it\u00a0in a book. Then leave the books somewhere. Awesome idea, right? I will explain more about it soon on my blog.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Thinking about:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\">All the upcoming changes in 2016 for my family. Canada, studying, writing, traveling and all this on my mind <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sometimesraw.com--precise\/?p=1555\">while my husband is sick<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> and not feeling well at all. We still might travel to Congo soon which is on my mind a lot as well. Otherwise I am looking forward to a <em><strong><span style=\"color: #339966;\"><a style=\"color: #339966;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sometimesraw.com--precise\/?p=1192\">Reiki-weekend at SEHES Haus<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em> end of January. I cannot wait to learn something new about myself, energy-healing, meditation and such. I am so glad that I found this great place. Uwe Meissner and his wife are friends and a great help!
