Hello!<\/p>\n

I love traveling and I am fortunate that I can do so a lot with my family. My son is a super-easy travel companion and flying or even road trips<\/a><\/strong><\/em><\/span> are smooth sailing. While constantly traveling we get to know so many awesome places and realize every time how tiny we are and how much is still out there to explore. I love to travel alone, too. I did quite a lot before I met my husband an had my son. It is so much easier and faster to pack just a backpack and go than thinking about bringing baby clothing, food and drinks. Whenever I traveled by myself I felt that it is a great way to really get in touch with the surroundings and myself.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t have to worry about anything or anyone, I just do it. It simply opened me up to new perspectives. One time I took a trip by myself to New York a long time ago and it was life-changing. I had been to New York once before with my mother so I did know what I am getting myself into. I was fortunate to have a friend who lives there and not hotel, motel or hostel was needed. \u00a0I also had a great guide to show me around. What I love the most is to stay off the tourist-paths and discover places on my own. I have seen so many great places already and my wanderlust will never stop. Breathtaking places \u2013 those, you usually only see in movies. As a writer, I always carry a little notebook with me and sometimes, when a place is very special I have this instant urge to write about it and to memorize as much as possible. Of course I do take tons of pictures too. Through these special experiences I am able to recharge, rediscover myself and make me feel alive again.<\/p>\n

Some never understand my urge to travel and explore. But this is okay, too. Whatever makes you happy. Where have you traveled alone? Did you just pack your backpack and go? I would love to hear your stories in the comments below.<\/p>\n
